Hello folks : ) how you doing today?
hope gooooood..
how many of you here like public holidays??
hmm i guess alot huh, well we have hari raya, chrismas, deepavali, chinese new year and so many more lah list goes on for diffrent cultures and race.1st people like public holidays no work, no school obviously, 2nd it's the get together that people love i guess thats what brings us all together this religious and cultural holidays.
peeople have open houses for guest and friends to come over for food and stuff and talk and just have fun,i find it very exciting like last year it was my first time celebrating hari raya here in malysia it was amazing best hari raya ever had in malaysia. at first i felt lonely i was away from home and my family : ( pretty sad i know, but i already had friends at help college by then, so i got invited to almost 10 houses it was amazing how friendly and kind everyone was you know i didnt expect it to be like that at all, i mean... well not like i expected people to be brusque and all but every house i went they treated me like they knew me for years lol they made jokes, talk and share ideas, and it was always a learning experience for me getting to know how diffrent countries celebriting hari raya, chrismas and all.
i guess in malaysia its totally diffrent then tanzania i mean they celebrate aswell but here in malaysia its like everybody celebrates hari raya, deepavali and all.back home during hari raya most folks dont wanna go out and have fun anymore like they think it's just for kids to go out and have fun, while its about family and friends being together and having a good time.
when i celebrated hari raya last year here it was good best i ever had here so far MHH i wonder whats this year gonna be like : ) anyways back to my story. as i was saying last year hari raya was amazing was an experience of a life time. got invited for open houses like 10 invitations and there were food on the table as if they were trying to find the entire block lol.
i have seen the other side of hari raya in malaysia its all about love, care and peace applies to all race, cause at the open houses i met all my friends who were diffrent race we had christians, islam, hindus and more but seeing all that in one roof was a wonderful thing cause back home we don't have many chinese and indians who celebrate hari raya like here in malaysia.
lets talk about the food that they serve during hari raya in malaysia hmmmm YUMMY lemang, redang, peanut sauce, cookies and so many many more.its a wonderful thing seeing diffrent race all together enjoying during festive's and all.
this shows the harmony malaysian's have been enjoying this past years, festivities are being celebrated without any discrimination or prejudice.
foreigners are not able to understand the racial unity among malaysian's as there is a big number of diffrent race in a country. but still live together communicate and celebrate all together with out any extreme discriminations.
thats one thing i like about malaysia its a beatiful country and with diffrent race and people still treat eachother as one and help one another when there in need of a hand.
malaysia is one of the countries i enjoy being the love people have for one another is unique not like other countries, here as long as your friendly you will get along with everyone the indians, malaysians, chinese, africans and europeans and many more now thats RACIAL HARMONY right there people.
racial harmony can be seen here when malaysians have thosai at indian stalls and indians enjoy dim sum and almost every one enjoys NASI LEMAK for breakfast : ) i know i do hmm makan lah as a matter of fact i think food is the reason that tie's all the different races together as a peaceful group
hope gooooood..
